Sania Mirza has caused an earthquake of sorts not only at home but even in the US ... everyone knows her... even my grandmother !! This hard hitting vivacious gutsy girl has taken the US Open by storm...They say she is the mini Hurricane Katrina !! I am really looking forward to some hardcourt action from her... I decided to pen down her praises before her match with Sharapova... why... because the wait is killing me...
She completely wallops her opponent with her strong forehand and a backhand to match. Bartoli didnt stand a chance in the last match (I personally found Bartolli quite wierd). She goes for winners and doesnt hesitate to hit them hard.
Shes a rage with those trendy T-shirts, that nose ring, those earrings and... what an attitude!!!
Shes smart, candid and sassy off the court and a perfect tempest on it...
Lets wish her All the very Best for that big match with Sharapova...
COME ON SANIA!!!!

No doubt Sania is cool, and I support her too.. however she lacks the kill to be the champ. She is the standard "Desi" who will get noticed but will never win the race!! Hope she proves me wrong

Well i think to expect her to win on her first tour of the Flushing Meadows that too against Sharapova was too big an ask.But i think in an year or so there are lots of laurels which are going to be coming her way.And i am very sure she will win as much as she is noticed...Only time will tell...

At the risk of being called a pessimist, lemme put forth a point...
I like Sania Mirza...i really do. And i m sure she ll win laurels for her country someday in the future. But "hurricane"? U have to be kiddin.. U talk about her attitude, her clothes, the nose ring (i still havent figured why that shud be talked about..maybe its my fashion sense...or the lack of it), but take away that forehand, and what have u?! 46 unforced errors, and a serve that's barely learning to kick.. Dont tell me she's young, Sharapova is 18..
Lets just wait n watch, there'll be better times. But plz dont tell me today that this gal is the best u've ever seen...

Sania has the guts and the skills to come out on top. She just needs to mature a bit. It was her first US open and she did pretty well for that.
She played in San Diego in the Acura Classics tournametn before that and I so wanted to go to see her play .. but couldnt manage the timings. Well, next time I hope!
Ohhh please come on yeah she's good but don't hype her ok.her game is so error strewn that it's difficult to watch.None of the rally's last longer than 2 shots,It's either a winner or an error.Even andre aggasi who has been hitting the ball 2000 times a day since childhood will tell you that you cannot win like that.You have to set up a point to win. So please don't hype her.Where was everybody when Paes-Bhupathi won everythin for 3 years.By All means i support her too but let her win a grand slam and i'll jump on the Sania mania bandwagon....
